Harris County, TX — November 26, 2025, Carlo Martinez Tamayo was killed following a car accident that happened at 2:25 p.m. on West Hardy Road.
Investigators said that the accident happened in the area of the Hardy Toll Road and East Crosstimbers Street intersection.
According to officials, 56-year-old Carlo Martinez Tamayo was in a Toyota Tundra going northbound along Hardy. Somehow, the vehicle left its lane. It crashed into support pillars before then overturning. Carlo Martinez Tamayo was fatally injured as a result.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further information is available at this time.

After any single-vehicle accident, the priority should be preserving as much evidence as soon as possible. A lot of it can be time-sensitive. This includes nearby cameras, debris or tire marks at the scene, witness testimony, the victim’s vehicle itself (which needs to be inspected for defects before it’s repaired or demolished), etc. Sometimes, authorities won’t go that far and will move on too quickly to other responsibilities. Meanwhile, there’s a family who rightfully wants to be sure the victim’s side of the story is told fairly. The sooner the evidence is secured, the sooner that can happen.
