Victoria County, TX — December 14, 2024, a man was injured following a car accident that happened at around 1:05 a.m. along Farm-to-Market 236.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of the F.M. 236 and F.M. 622 intersection, west of Victoria.
According to officials, a 31-year-old Victoria man was in a Nissan traveling southeast along F.M. 236. In a series of events unclear right now, the vehicle ended up leaving the roadway. As a result, it crashed, and the driver sustained reportedly serious injuries.
Authorities did not report any other injuries, and they did not mention any other vehicles being involved in the accident. No further information is available right now.

With any single-vehicle accident, there’s a concern about how investigations are being handled. It would shock people how often I get calls from people who feel authorities brushed their crash under the rug or who were more focused on throwing blame around than actually getting evidence about what happened. That’s one of the reasons independent accident reconstructionists are generally a more reliable source of information after a serious crash. Sometimes, they can confirm that authorities are handling the investigations properly. Other times, they can catch important details authorities let slip through the cracks. Either way, there should be confidence that the evidence will be able to speak for itself. I don’t see any reason right now why this crash would be an exception.
