How Did This Accident Occur?

As basic as this question is, it can take a lot of experience, special equipment, and dedication to considering all possibilities to actually get an answer. That’s where concerns often arise. Single-vehicle wrecks make up a significant portion of the calls I get from folks. They’re usually worried that authorities will worry more about blaming them than actually investigating the crash. In my experience, that’s a perfectly valid concern.

I see time and time again crashes where authorities only look at common possible factors. When it comes to less likely things, like roadway issues, vehicle defects, or problems with signage and lighting, they tend to be shallow or just overlook such factors entirely. This can lead to serious oversights, and sometimes people take all of the blame for something they could necessarily control.

So here, are authorities taking time to gather extensive evidence so the facts can speak for themselves? Or, are there parts of this story that aren’t getting the attention they need?
