San Antonio, TX — July 18, 2024, a man sustained injuries as the result of a car accident at around 12:30 a.m. along Loop 410.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place during a police pursuit. It appears a 33-year-old man somehow entered traffic lanes where a Buick Enclave struck the pedestrian. As a result, the pedestrian was injured. The driver remained at the scene and reportedly doesn’t face any charges.

Currently, authorities mentioned alcohol as a possible factor, but details are not confirmed at this time. If alcohol was a factor here, it at least warrants some consideration for how that alcohol contributed to the incident. Sometimes, if a person is illegally over-served by an alcohol provider, it can lead them to hurt themselves or others. Alcohol providers can be responsible for contributing to accidents in that manner, so could it be there’s more to this story authorities have yet to touch on?
