San Antonio, TX — August 4, 2024, a minor was injured following a single-car accident at approximately 11:00 p.m. along Interstate Highway 37.
According to authorities, two girls ages 18 and 12 were traveling in a motor vehicle on I.H. 37 in the vicinity of Southeast Military Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the vehicle failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly swerved off of the highway and into a grassy area where it crashed into an apartment complex fence. The 12-year-old girl suffered reportedly critical injuries due to the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. The other girl from the accident sustained minor injuries, only, according to reports. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
