Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck failed to yield the right of way to highway traffic, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the pickup truck and a northbound Dodge Charger occupied by a 21-year-old man.

Both of the men from the pickup truck sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. The man from the Charger incurred apparently moderate injuries, as well. All three victims were taken to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
