Lubbock, TX — April 10, 2023, at least five people were injured due to a multi-vehicle car accident that happened along 19th Street.
Investigators were called to the area of Milwaukee Avenue at around 6:15 p.m.
It appears at least two vehicles were traveling through the intersection when the vehicles crashed head-on. As a result of the collision, five people were taken to the hospital. The exact cause of the accident has yet to be determined. Police have not mentioned if they’re investigating possible charges or citations.

Even simple crashes like this can prove a lot more complex than people realize. I think about crashes like one I was discussing with a colleague just recently. It seemed like a typical rear-end collision, but continued investigations eventually showed that one of the victims had a defective airbag. That’s not something that’s going to make the news this soon after a crash, so I would discourage anyone from jumping to conclusions here.
