Jasper, TX — April 18, 2024, several people were injured in a two-car accident at approximately 6:00 p.m. along County Road 777.
According to authorities, a Hyundai was traveling on County Road 777 in the vicinity west of Jasper, Texas, when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck attempted to enter the roadway from a private drive at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the the right of way to C.R. 777 traffic. This resulted in a collision between the pickup truck and the Hyundai.
The person who had been behind the wheel of the Hyundai suffered reportedly severe injuries; they were flown to an area hospital in order to receive immediate treatment. Several other people were hurt as well, though preliminary reports to not specify the number of people hurt or the severity of their injuries. They were transported by EMS to a local medical facility in order to receive necessary treatment.
