Houston, TX — March 24, 2024, three people were injured in a car accident shortly before 10:15 p.m. along the Katy Freeway feeder road.

According to authorities, a motor vehicle had become disabled in one of the lanes of the Katy Freeway feeder road. A police unit parked behind the stalled vehicle and the emergency lights were engaged.

Officials indicate that a BMW which had just taken an exit from Katy Freeway onto the feeder road attempted to veer to one side in order to avoid hitting the stopped vehicles, but was ultimately unable to do so. It apparently collided with both vehicles.

The officer who had been in the police unit incurred suspected serious injuries as a result of the wreck and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. The two people who had been in the stalled vehicle sustained injuries, as well, and were also taken for additional evaluation and treatment.
