An investigation is underway following a car accident that left one person dead and injured another during the morning hours of April 29th. According to official reports, a Cadillac XT5 operated by a 22-year-old man was traveling on Indiana 67 in the southbound lanes, when for unknown reasons the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a Dodge pickup truck operated by a 24-year-old man head-on.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found that both vehicle had caught fire, and upon retrieving the driver of both vehicle found that the Cadillac driver had sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased, while the Dodge driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. At this time there has been no further information released from the accident, including the identities of the driver or the status of the Dodge driver. However this remains an ongoing investigation and more details may be released by authorities in the future.
