Johnson County, TX — February 6, 2026, a man was injured following a car accident that took place at around 9:56 p.m. along County Road 501.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened north of Venus near Highway 157.
Investigators said that a 20-year-old man was in a Chevy Silverado going westbound along County Road 501. The vehicle somehow left its lane, and it crashed. The driver sustained serious injuries as a result. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.

One of the main concerns I hear from folks involved in single-vehicle wrecks is they want to be sure their side of the story is told fairly. It’s understandable they may be worried authorities will focus more on looking for something they did wrong than just considering the facts and letting the evidence speak for itself. That’s why a lot of people feel more comfortable when independent investigators are looking things over. Their only priority is getting answers, so they can make sure investigations cover all possibilities and don’t let any sort of bias get in the way. Hopefully steps will be taken here to look at what went wrong with a fair lens.
