When it comes to single-vehicle wrecks, it’s important to know if a lack of information is from police being tight-lipped, or if they’re not giving the crash the attention it needs. Unfortunately, single-vehicle accidents aren’t often seen as a high priority. Since they’re commonly the result of drivers making mistakes, investigators may jump to conclusions. But what about other possible factors? Mechanical defects, road hazards, tire blowouts, drivers illegally over-served by a bar, medical condition, missing signage or lighting—likely or not, these things happen. Without proper investigations, these details can easily slip through the cracks, and that’s only going to work against the victims and families who at least deserve to know they’re getting all the facts.
