Currently, authorities say that alcohol was a factor in the crash. If that’s true, where did the alcohol come from? As much attention as is given to holding the alleged drunk driver accountable (rightfully so), it’s important to consider that doesn’t do much for the victims and families affected by the crash. That’s why it can be frustrating when authorities don’t look into where a drunk driver got their alcohol.

Whenever someone gets hurt because a local alcohol provider unlawfully over-served someone, and it led to an accident, those alcohol providers can be held accountable. But when all of the focus is on the drivers, those alcohol providers tend to slip through the cracks. Simply put, people deserve to know the rights they’re given under Texas law. If authorities simply moved on after investigating the crash scene, it’s very possible they’re failing to tell the whole story of what happened here and how things could be made right.
