Van Zandt County, TX — August 4, 2023, a Canton man was injured as the result of a commercial truck accident at around 10:20 a.m. along Interstate 20.
According to initial details released about the crash, it happened along the westbound lanes of the interstate near County Road 1311.
Investigators said in their statements that a 42-year-old Canton man was in a Cadillac that was going westbound along the interstate. Possibly due to fatigue, according to officials, the Cadillac crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler which was also westbound on the interstate.
Due to the collision, the Canton man sustained injuries which were described as incapacitating. There were no other reported injuries resulting from the accident. Additional factors are unclear at this time.
