San Antonio, TX — August 18, 2024, Caleb Vallejo was injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 9:15 p.m. along Acme Road.
According to initial details released about the accident, it happened in the area of the South Acme Road and Prosperity Drive intersection.
Investigators said that 19-year-old Caleb Vallejo was on a Harley-Davidson going southbound on Acme Road. While doing so, it appears a Ford F-150 passed unsafely and struck Vallejo. That pickup then fled the scene.
Due to the accident, Caleb Vallejo was seriously injured. The pickup was only described as a black Ford F-150. It’s unclear if authorities have since identified the runaway driver.

Even months after a hit-and-run, continuing to release details to the public can help lead to a resolution. Someone may yet be able to connect the dots and come forward to help authorities identify the driver. Once that happens, steps can be taken to see there are consequences both for the accident itself and for anything that led that driver to flee in the first place. I remain hopeful that there may still be more to this story waiting to be uncovered.
