Cleburne County, AL — June 28, 2024, Bryan Collins was killed and another person was injured following a truck accident along U.S. Highway 431.
According to authorities, 63-year-old Bryan Collins was traveling in a motor vehicle on U.S. 431 in the vicinity south of Heflin when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the vehicle was involved in a collision with a Freightliner 18-wheeler. Collins suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck; he was declared deceased at the scene. The person who had been behind the wheel of the Freightliner sustained injuries of unknown severity, as well; they were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
