Montgomery County, TX — June 17, 2024, Britton Fitzgerald and four others were injured in a multi-car accident just before 6:30 p.m. along Interstate Highway 45.
According to authorities, a 32-year-old man was traveling in a northbound Dodge Ram pickup truck hauling a homemade trailer on I.H. 45 in the vicinity north of F.M. 1488 when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pickup truck failed to appropriately control it’s speed; this resulted in a rear-end accident with a Honda Pilot occupied by 25-year-old Britton Fitzgerald and a 25-year-old woman. That impact pushed the Pilot into the rear-end of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck occupied by a 52-year-old man. The pickup was, in turn, pushed into the back of a Subaru Outback occupied by a 72-year-old man.
Fitzgerald suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck. The man from the Tacoma sustained moderate injuries, as well, while all other people involved incurred minor injuries. Those who necessitated it were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
