Fort Worth, TX — February 6, 2024, Brittney Matthews was injured in a car accident shortly before 6:30 a.m. along Overton Ridge Boulevard.
According to authorities, a Ford F-150 pickup truck was facing east at the intersection of Overton Ridge Boulevard and the Chisolm Trail frontage road when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, despite the flashing yellow turn signal, the pickup truck reportedly attempted a left turn at an unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to westbound traffic on Overton Ridge. This resulted in a collision between the pickup truck and a westbound Nissan Rogue occupied by 42-year-old Brittney Matthews and a 14-year-old girl.
Matthews incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
