Aransas County, TX — July 31, 2024, Brittany Holdefer was injured following a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 4:30 p.m. along F.M. 1069.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Brittany Holdefer was traveling in a northbound Mercedes-Benz SUV on Farm to Market 1069 in the vicinity south of the Bee Road intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound vehicle of unknown make or model veered left of center, entering the northbound lane of the roadway. The Mercedes-Benz moved into the southbound lane in order to avoid a collision with the wrong-way vehicle. However, as it attempted to move back into the northbound lane, it was apparently overcorrected, leading to a loss of control. It reportedly veered off of the right side of the roadway, coming to a stop in a roadside ditch after crashing into a road sign. The unknown vehicle allegedly did not stay at the scene.
Holdefer suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; she was taken to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
