Caldwell County, TX — August 3, 2024, Brion Zarsky and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 4:30 p.m. along S.H. 80.
According to authorities, 62-year-old Brion Zarsky was traveling in a southbound Toyota Highlander on State Highway 80 in the vicinity north of the Farm to Market 1984 intersection when the accident took place.
There was reportedly traffic due to the red light at the intersection ahead. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Honda Accord occupied by a 19-year-old woman failed to appropriately slow for the traffic conditions, leading to a rear-end collision with the Highlander.
Zarsky suffered serious injuries as a result of the wreck, according to reports. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. The woman from the Honda sustained moderate injuries, as well. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
