Harris County, TX — December 10, 2023, Briann Lynn Jones was fatally injured as the result of a car accident at around 3:12 a.m. along Rankin Road.
According to Harris County officials, the incident took place in the area of 500 Rankin Road, which appears to be near Ella Boulevard.
Investigators stated that Briann Jones was on foot at the time and on travel lanes of Rankin Road. While there, police say a vehicle struck Jones, then left the scene. Jones sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.

My hope is that authorities continue to circulate these details publicly, as that’s often a crucial step in finding a runaway driver. A neighbor, co-worker, friend, or even a family member may be able to connect the dots and get this person’s loved ones the closure they deserve.
