Texas City, TX — April 12, 2025, Brian Richard II was killed and Keishla Irizarry was injured following a car accident at 9:12 p.m. on Highway 146.
According to officials, the crash happened in the area of Avenue R.
It appears from initial statements that 42-year-old Brian Richard II was on a Harley Davidson traveling northbound along the highway. 32-year-old Keishla Irizarry was in a Nissan Altima going southbound. For reasons unconfirmed, the two vehicles crossed paths and collided.

While I can’t comment on the specifics surrounding this accident without more available evidence, there is always an inherent concern when it comes to motorcycle wrecks. They don’t always get the attention they deserve because people are inclined to just assume the motorcyclist did something wrong. Obviously, people make mistakes, but it’s important to avoid jumping to conclusions. The evidence should be allowed to speak for itself, if only to help ensure that the victims and families involved in the accident know that they’re getting the whole story. Whether or not those steps are being taken here remains to be seen.
