Authorities indicate that on October 11, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Cleveland. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 4:12 in the afternoon.
Investigators say an 18-wheeler was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Silverado while stopped along the shoulder of US 59. Police say the Silverado was traveling along the highway and suddenly went onto the shoulder for unknown reasons. Additional details have not been released as authorities are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
Officials confirmed that the Silverado driver, Brett Allen Hoglund, 26, suffered severe injuries and died at the hospital. A passenger in the Silverado was reportedly taken to an area hospital. The extent of the passenger’s injuries is unknown.
