Authorities said in initial statements that the crash happened in the area of F.M. 1518 and Elvira Avenue.

According to officials, 34-year-old Brent Mitchell Cannon was a passenger in a GMC Denali. In a series of events unclear, Cannon fell out of the vehicle as it was in motion, landing along the side of the roadway. This resulted in Cannon sustaining injuries that ultimately proved to be fatal.
