Caldwell County, TX — July 21, 2024, Brenda Alviter was killed due to a car accident at around 3:30 p.m. along Farm-to-Market 713.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the accident happened Chestnut Road, several miles east of Lockhart.
According to officials, 18-year-old Brenda Alviter was in a Nissan Altima going westbound on F.M. 713. Somehow, the vehicle lost control, causing it to run off-road where it overturned. Due to this, Alviter was killed. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, no other details can be confirmed.

When it comes to single-vehicle accidents, there’s a general rule of thumb I find prudent: make sure authorities are actually conducting thorough investigations. It might surprise people how often authorities jump to conclusions, overlook less common or complex factors, or simply move on without actually getting the whole story. Many of the calls I get from people unsatisfied with answers they’re getting from the authorities concern single-vehicle wrecks. Sometimes, further independent investigations simply confirm what authorities already looked into. Other times, they show there is much more to the story the victim’s loved ones deserve to know. Either way, the last thing a family should have to deal with after a crash like this is unanswered questions.
