Robertson County, TX — September 2, 2024, a Bremond man was injured as the result of a motorcycle accident at 8:40 p.m. along F.M. 2293.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened near the intersection of F.M. 2293 and Caroline Street, just east of Bremond.

Investigators said that a 27-year-old Bremond man was on a Honda motorcycle going westbound on F.M. 2293. A vehicle ahead reportedly braked, and the motorcycle swerved to avoid it. The motorcycle ended up off-road where it fell over, ejecting the rider.
Due to the accident, the Bremond man was seriously injured. There were no other reported injuries. Right now, additional details about the accident can’t be confirmed.

One of the the unique challenges with motorcycle accidents is that people are generally geared toward automatically blaming the motorcyclist. Despite the fact many riders are safe drivers harmed by other reckless drivers, people tend to jump to conclusions based on their own biases. Even authorities can put too much focus on trying to find out if the rider did something wrong. Obviously, motorcyclists can make mistakes. But when I see details about a motorcycle wreck, I always take them with a handful of salt until I know investigations have been as thorough as possible.
