Nueces County, TX — January 27, 2024, Brandon Moreno was injured in a car accident at approximately 2:00 a.m. along Padre Island Drive.
According to authorities, a 66-year-old woman was traveling in a southbound Chevy Colorado pickup truck on a private drive approaching Padre Island Drive in the vicinity west of the Everhart Road intersection when the accident occurred.
The causal factors that led to the accident are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck failed to yield the right of way to Padre Island Drive traffic, entering the roadway at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the pickup truck and a westbound Honda Civic occupied by 25-year-old Brandon Moreno. The collision caused the Honda to veer left, coming to a stop after crashing into a metal pole.
Moreno incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
