Bexar County, TX — March 30, 2025, Blake West sustained fatal injuries as the result of a pickup accident at around 8:00 p.m. off U.S. Highway 281.
Preliminary investigations about the incident say it took place south of San Antonio at 281 Country Club.
Details are limited at this time. Authorities say that 19-year-old Blake Cody West was in the back of a pickup that was driving in an off-road area. West reportedly fell from the truck, ultimately resulting in fatal injuries.
There were no other reported injuries. Investigations are ongoing.

With unusual incidents like this, I’m always concerned about how seriously authorities are taking the situation. Frankly, they don’t always see things like this as a high priority, which means they don’t always get the attention they deserve. But if there’s anything about the vehicle involved here or the property on which this occurred which needs attention, it’s important to make sure experienced investigators are actually taking those steps so the family knows they’re not missing anything.
