While most would likely overlook the fact the crash happened in a parking lot, this could actually present some unique hurdles. Obviously after any crash, investigators will have to check things like speed, tire failure, mechanical issues, fatigue, medical conditions, etc. But in a parking lot, there’s also a concern about things like lighting, signage, and the design of the parking lot itself. While not very common, accidents sometimes happen on a property because the property is constructed or designed in such a way it makes an accident inevitable. Likely or not, is that something investigators are looking into here?
