Lindale, TX — April 19, 2024, Bill Darling was killed following a pedestrian versus truck accident at approximately 8:15 p.m. along U.S. 69.
According to authorities, 60-year-old Oregon man Bill Darling was on foot crossing U.S. Highway 69 when the accident took place.
The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been rainy and wet. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, Darling was struck by a truck which had been traveling southbound on the highway. He incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported.
