Harris County, TX — December 21, 2023, Bianka Sandoval was killed and a man was injured after an alleged intoxicated driver accident along Killough Street.
Current statements on the crash say it happened at around 3:00 a.m. in the northwest part of the city off the corner of Killough Street and West Montgomery Road.
According to authorities, the events began on the eastern side of part of the bayou that separates Killough Street between West Montgomery Road and Zuinn Street. Police allege that a BMW car went through the dead end at the bayou fast enough that it went over the bayou and landed on the other side. The car then lost control, crashed through the fence of a construction business, and ultimately overturned outside of a residence.
During this process, a woman in the vehicle was thrown from the car and sustained fatal injuries. Officials identified the woman as 22-year-old Bianka Sandoval.
The driver of the car is accused of driving while intoxicated as well as breaking into the home outside of which the car overturned prior to emergency services arriving. That person was taken to a hospital in apparently critical condition, and authorities said he is facing charges for alleged intoxicated manslaughter.
