Austin, TX — April 30, 2024, Bernardo Garza was injured following a truck accident shortly after 6:45 a.m. along Aspen Glenn Boulevard.
According to authorities, 48-year-old Bernardo Garza was traveling in a southeast bound Toyota Scion on Aspen Glenn Boulevard at the McKinney Falls Parkway intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, allegedly because a southwest bound bus which had slowed and was making a right turn onto Aspen Glenn was blocking the view, the Scion entered the intersection in an attempt to turn left onto McKinney Falls at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign. This, however, resulted in a collision between the front-end of a southeast bound 18-wheeler and the back-left side of the Toyota.
Garza incurred reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Reports state that investigators believe the truck to be partially at fault for the accident, as well.
