Harris County, TX — May 26, 2023, Barbara Clifton was fatally injured following a truck accident Friday afternoon along Grand Parkway.
Authorities with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office released information indicating that the wreck happened some time around 4:00 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 99 and Highway 249.
According to investigations, Barbara Clifton was the driver of a vehicle that was going eastbound along the 12000 block of Grand Parkway. Due to reasons not specified at this time, a commercial vehicle crashed into the back of Clifton’s vehicle. This then led to a chain reaction of collisions with at least three other eastbound vehicles.
As a result of the collision, Clifton succumbed to fatal injuries. Initial details were not clear on whether or not anyone else was hurt. There is currently no mention of potential charges or citations. The cause of the crash has yet to be publicly determined by authorities. Investigations appear to be ongoing.
