Collin County, TX — April 17, 2024, Austin Hung was injured in a motorcycle versus hit-and-run car accident shortly before 3:00 p.m. along East Lucas Road.
According to authorities, 25-year-old Austin Hung was traveling on an eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle along Lucas Road approaching the Peppy San Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Mercedes-Benz of unknown model on Peppy San Dr. failed to yield the right of way to Lucas Road traffic before making a left turn onto eastbound Lucas. The motorcycle swerved to the right into a roadside ditch in order to avoid a collision with the motor vehicle. The Mercedes-Benz left the scene, failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.
Hung suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
