Lewisville, TX — September 24, 2024, Angelina Arevalo, Eva Arevalo, and Melanie Tan were injured after a truck accident at around 10:08 p.m. along I-35E.
According to officials, the accident happened along northbound lanes of the interstate near Fox Avenue.
Investigators said that Angelina Arevalo, Eva Arevalo, and Melanie Tan were in a Honda HR-V. In a series of events not confirmed right now, a tractor-trailer entering the on-ramp to main lanes collided with the Honda. Due to this, Angelina Arevalo sustained serious injuries. Eva Arevalo and Melanie Tan had minor injuries.
The stretch of I-35E where the crash happened apparently was under construction at the time. Further information remains unconfirmed.

Any serious accident is going to present its own unique challenges, and it’s important investigators are able to consider all angles rather than jump to conclusions or focus narrowly on one possible angle. For example, even the fact this happened in a construction zone could be important. Were the cones places properly? Was traffic diverted in an unusual or unnecessarily dangerous way? Were there crew out on the road giving confusing directions? These are just some of the questions a thorough investigation should seek to answer. Perhaps authorities here were able to consider these possible factors. My point is simply that one shouldn’t take that for granted until they’re certain they’ve seen all the evidence.
