Wood County, TX — February 3, 2024, Angela Brock Blalock was killed while Grayling Jones and Canyon Ray Davis were injured in a car accident just after 5:15 p.m. along S.H. 37.
According to authorities, Angelica Brocke Blalock was traveling in a northbound Honda Civic on State Highway 37 approaching the F.M. 69 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, as the Honda slowed in preparation of making a left turn onto F.M. 69, it was rear-ended by a Chevrolet Spark occupied by 19-year-old Canyon Ray Davis. The collision caused the Honda to be pushed into the southbound lane of the highway where it was involved in a secondary collision with an oncoming Dodge Ram pickup truck occupied by 60-year-old Grayling Jones.
Blalock incurred reportedly critical injuries as a result of the wreck. She was transported to a local medical center by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment; however, she was ultimately unable to overcome the extent of her injuries, having there been declared deceased. Both Jones and Davis apparently suffered injuries, as well, though reports do not indicate that they were considered serious.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
