Monroe County, IA — March 29, 2023, Andrew Gunter was killed and Tyler Kipfer was injured in a truck accident around 3:50 p.m. on Hwy. 34 in Monroe County.

According to officials, Andrew Gunter’s and Tyler Kipfer’s pickup truck was eastbound while a semi-truck was westbound on Hwy. 34 when the two vehicles collided head-on.

Andrew Gunter suffered fatal injuries and Tyler Kipfer was airlifted to a hospital with reportedly serious injuries. The truck driver was reportedly uninjured.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. There are no further updates at this time.
