Dallas, TX — April 13, 2024, Andrew Collins was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 2:45 a.m. along Petal Street.
Dallas Police and County officials released details about the collision, saying it happened near the intersection of Petal Street and Jupiter Road.
According to current details, 28-year-old Andrew Collins was identified as a pedestrian that was walking in the area of Petal Street. While doing so, a vehicle reportedly hit Collins, then left the scene. Collins ultimately succumbed to his injuries as a result of the collision.
Right now, authorities have yet to release any details about the vehicle involved in the accident. Further details are currently unavailable.

One of the best things a community can do after a hit-and-run accident is to spread the word as best as possible. Breakthroughs often happen because someone is able to connect the dots and inform the police about what they know. It’s still early with this accident, so I have faith that continued efforts from the community will see someone held accountable for this and potentially for whatever it is they didn’t want police to find out about. Authorities would no doubt want anyone who knows something to get in touch with them.
