San Antonio, TX — March 31, 2023, Andres Arellanes and Alesha Mata were injured following a car accident at around 5:06 p.m. along Steve Avenue.
According to initial details about the crash, the incident took place in the area of the Steve Avenue and Hackberry Street intersection.
It appears that 22-year-old Andres Arellanes and 21-year-old Alesha Mata were in a Chevy Tahoe that was going northbound along Hackberry. Authorities said in their statements that a Lexus in the right lane attempted to make a left turn from the right lane. Doing so, it crossed into the path of the Tahoe, and the vehicles collided.
Due to the collision, Arellanes sustained injuries believed to be incapacitating. Mata’s condition wasn’t specified. Other vehicles were involved in the crash, but there were no other confirmed injuries. At this time, additional details about the factors leading up to the crash are unavailable pending further investigations.
