While details can’t be confirmed, authorities mentioned investigating alcohol as a contributing factor in the accident. If that was a factor here, it’s important to know where that alcohol came from. This doesn’t get much attention in the public, but alcohol providers can also be responsible for contributing to accidents. If they unlawfully over-serve someone, and that leads to people getting hurt, the alcohol provider is essentially an accomplice to the drunk driver, meaning there should be appropriate consequences for them both. The fact this also opens up possible avenues to get people the help they need only makes it that much more important to consider. Is that something authorities looked into here?
