Henderson County, TX — March 31, 2024, Amber Pierson and three others were injured in a car accident at approximately 11:20 a.m. along U.S. Highway 175.
According to authorities, 36-year-old Amber Pierson and a 5-year-old boy were traveling in a northwest bound Chevrolet Trax on U.S. Highway 175 approaching the C.R. 3918 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Chevrolet Traverse in the crossover median of U.S. 175 attempted to cross the northwest bound lanes of the highway in order to head east on C.R. 3918 at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic at a yield sign. This resulted in a collision between the front-right corner of the Trax and the right side of the Traverse.
Pierson and a 75-year-old woman who had been a passenger in the Traverse each suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. A 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman—also from the Travers—also received moderate and minor injuries, respectively. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
