Harris County officials show a pending charge against the alleged runaway driver for failure to stop and render aid. Believe it or not, that may not be the whole story. Generally speaking, when drivers leave an accident scene, it’s rarely due to the accident itself. There’s usually something else they don’t want authorities to know about. Drunk driving, warrants, drugs, stolen vehicles—it’s important to know the whole story so that all of the factors that ultimately led to someone’s harm can be appropriately addressed.
