Odessa, TX — April 11, 2024, Alyssa Monique Vega was killed following a single-car accident at approximately 12:50 a.m. along the I.H. 20 service road.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Alyssa Monique Vega was traveling in an eastbound Dodge Charger on the East Interstate Highway 20 service road near South Murphy Street when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Charger failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly swerved off of the side of the road and crashed head-on into a utility pole before coming to a stop. Vega incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene.
