El Paso, TX — July 22, 2023, Alva Razo was killed and Paul Razo, David Prieto, and one other were hurt after a car accident at 7:37 p.m. on North Desert.
According to information provided by the El Paso Police Department, the incident happened at the North Desert Boulevard and North Mesa Street intersection.
Details at this time suggest that 72-year-old Alva Aida Razo and Paul Razo were in a car that was at the above intersection. It appears their vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle that police say never slowed down approaching the crossing. After hitting the Razos’ vehicle, that vehicle then crashed into a third vehicle reportedly driven by 25-year-old David Isaiah Prieto.
As a result of the collision, Alva Razo sustained fatal injuries. Pual Razo, Prieto, and the driver of the second vehicle all reportedly had injuries. The unidentified driver at this time is accused of being intoxicated when the crash occurred. There appear to be pending charges for intoxication manslaughter. Right now, additional details cannot be confirmed.
