Garland, TX — January 30, 2024, Allen Ronald Mead was killed in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly after 6:15 p.m. along Northwest Highway.
According to authorities, 59-year-old Allen Ronald Mead was traveling on a southeast bound motorcycle making a left turn from Northwest Highway onto northwest bound Centerville Road when the accident occurred.
A Chevy Silverado pickup truck was allegedly making the same turn behind the motorcycle. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the pickup truck struck the back of the motorcycle and ran over Mead before coming to a stop in the center median. Mead incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the accident and was declared deceased. No other injuries have been reported.
