Albuquerque, NM — May 29, 2023, two motorcyclists were injured following a semi-truck accident at around 8:30 p.m. along Carlisle Boulevard.
Preliminary details about the crash from the Albuquerque Police Department say that the incident happened near the intersection of Carlisle Boulevard and Claremont Avenue.

According to reports, two people were riding on motorcycles traveling through the intersection, reportedly with the right-of-way. While doing so, both motorcyclists were hit by a semi-truck that allegedly failed to yield the right-of-way.
As a result of the crash, both motorcycle riders had potentially serious injuries for which they were transported to area hospitals. The truck driver was questioned and allegedly showed signs of intoxication. Police also allege they found illicit substances in the truck. That driver is said to be facing pending charges, including driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, leading a vehicle collision that resulted in great bodily harm, and possession of a controlled substance.
