Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

An employer providing water for workers during August in Texas is just about the most basic, common sense thing anyone could do. The fact that allegedly didn’t happen here raises serious red flags. In my experience handling work fatality cases, if an employer doesn’t do something as basic as provide water for employees, there’s a decent chance they’ve cut corners all over the job site. There needs to be a thorough investigation here not just to get this man’s loved ones the answers they deserve, but also there may need to be steps taken to make sure other workers aren’t being put in danger by this employer.
