Jim Wells County, TX — May 26, 2023, Alexander Ray Guerra was killed and another was injured in a car crash around 12:49 a.m. on F.M. 1554 in Jim Wells County.
Sources report the victims were heading north in a Ford F-250 when their vehicle somehow veered off the road toward its driver’s side. The truck purportedly drove through a fence and overturned. The truck allegedly rolled a few times before coming to a stop in a small grove of trees/bushes.
Mr. Guerra, 18, was reportedly a passenger in the front seat of the truck during the crash. Authorities say he suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. The driver of the vehicle purportedly suffered minor injuries.
Police recommended charging the F-250 driver with intoxication manslaughter.
