Harris County, TX — August 23, 2025, Alajhonte Thomas and one other were hurt due to a hit-and-run accident around 1:55 a.m. along Beaumont Highway.
Officials said that the accident took place off the corner of Beaumont Highway and Blueberry Lane.
According to investigations, 25-year-old Alajhonte Thomas was in a Mitsubishi Outlander going eastbound on the highway. Another vehicle reportedly collided with the Mitsubishi as well as a Honda Accord and a Jeep Wrangler.
Due to the accident, Alajhonte Thomas and the driver of the Honda had injuries. The vehicle that crashed with them reportedly left the scene. It’s unclear if authorities ever identified a suspect.

If authorities still have not located the runaway driver, it might help if they have more information to give to the public. One of the most helpful tools authorities have at their disposal is the community. A lot of the time, runaway drivers get caught because a friend, co-worker, neighbor, repair shop worker, or even family member comes forward to connect the dots. Once that happens, steps can be taken to see there’s accountability both for that driver leaving the scene and for whatever may have led them to flee in the first place.
