Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

Right now, factors surrounding the crash can’t be confirmed. That isn’t so unusual with single-vehicle wrecks. They’re frankly not that high on the list of priorities for most police departments, so they tend to slip through the cracks. This is why a lot of calls I get from folks who are dissatisfied with answers they’re getting from authorities involve single vehicle accidents. Common or not, there are many things that can go wrong. Mechanical defects, road hazards, tire failure, faulty safety features, lack of signage or lighting—a proper accident reconstruction should give as much attention to that as it would distracted or fatigued driving. So if this steps weren’t taken here, it’s possible there’s still more to this story that needs to be brought to light.
